New Hanover County Sheriff's Department gets new patrol boat | 911

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Next time you cruise the Intracoastal Waterway, you might see a new vessel patrolling the waters for the New Hanover and Brunswick County sheriff's departments.

According to a news release from Silver Ships, Inc., the sheriff's offices recently took delivery of the 27' patrol boats. The vessels will be able to go on extended patrol, emergency response and fast chases. 

The boats come with a 4-man, fully enclosed, climate controlled house, suspension seating for the operator and navigator and bench seating for extra officers.
