Memorial Day closings in New Hanover County | Arts & Culture

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – The following will be closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day, according to spokespersons:

New Hanover County

• All New Hanover County offices and government buildings will be closed Monday
• New Hanover County Library (all branches) will be closed Monday
• New Hanover County Social Services will be closed Monday
• All units of the New Hanover County Department of Social Services (DSS) will be closed Monday
• New Hanover County Landfill will close Saturday, May 26 and will reopen Monday
• Parks in New Hanover County will operate on a normal schedule

City of Wilmington

• All City of Wilmington offices will be closed Monday
• Trash, yard waste and recycling pick-up will run on a regular schedule. City customers who normally have their trash, recycling and yard-waste picked up on Mondays are asked to have all items curbside by 7:30 a.m.
• WAVE Transit will not run on Monday
