FORT FISHER, NC (WECT) - Fort Fisher received a new addition Wednesday as dozens of folks attended a dedication ceremony for a gazebo, located on the rocks near the beach.
Now, it has a historical plaque dedicated to the Modern Greece, a Civil War blockade runner.
What's neat about the plaque is that if you're reading it, and you look up to the water, you’ll see where the ship still sits, about 300 yards off of the beach.
