KURE BEACH, NC (WECT) – The North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher will celebrate the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday by waiving admission fees Monday.
This is one of two holidays the aquarium offers visitors free admission. The other is Veteran’s Day in November.
Children ages 5-12 are invited to spend a fun-filled day at AquaCamp at the aquarium. The full-day event is $40 per participant. Preregistration is required. Call (910) 458-7468 or visit ncaquariums.com/fort-fisher to register online.
According to the aquarium, campers will learn unusual facts and meet interesting invertebrates including clams, snails, crabs, sea urchins and sea stars.
Snacks will be provided, but campers will need to bring a bag lunch.
The Aquarium offers limited transportation from the Monkey Junction area to and from this camp. Limited space is available. An additional fee and preregistration is required.
