Take a behind-the-scenes look at NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher | Children

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – The NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher is offering folks a special look behind the scenes at what goes on there, according to an aquarium official.

Sunday, Jan. 6, 13, 20 and 27, children and their parents can take a guided look at spaces for animal holding, husbandry, how food is prepared for the animals, life support systems and more.

The cost is $15 for those 13 and older and $13 for those ages 8 to 12. Aquarium admission is included in that price.

Participants need to wear closed-toe shoes, and preregistration is required.

Kids under 8 aren’t permitted on the tour, and children up to age 14 need to come with a parent or guardian.
