Check out all things marine mammal at Whale of a Weekend | Children

KURE BEACH, NC (WECT) – Aquatic animal-lovers will have the chance to check out a fun, upcoming event scheduled to take place at the N.C. Aquarium at Fort Fisher.

A Whale of a Weekend will take place Saturday and Sunday, March 2-3, according to an event organizer.

The event will showcase new exhibits, called Dolphin Discovery and Right Whale Quest.

The exhibits were inspired by real whales in a dolphin living in NC waters.

Visitors can also check out Holly, a life-like bottlenose dolphin, and go on a 3D virtual adventure with some North Atlantic right whales.

Marine mammal experts will also be on site to talk about their knowledge and experiences.  

The cost of the program is free with aquarium admission.
