CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WECT) – The cuts continue in Carolina Beach.
Tuesday night, town council members approved the 2012-13 budget with a cut in expected property taxes for most residents.
The town will collect 3 cents less per dollar than they did last year. With that, the town will still face a budget of over $16 million.
Councilman Bob Lewis said this budget proves the town can provide the same service they did last year at a cheaper rate.
