KURE BEACH, NC (WECT) - The North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher is bringing back the popular Trick or Treat Under the Sea festival in October.
It's a family-friendly event, and everyone's encouraged to dress up (no masks for adults, please). Kids can scoop up candy and prizes, play Halloween-themed games, and get their faces painted.
There are also two magic shows each night by No Sleeves Magic Camp, and spooky divers will swim with the sharks and rays in the Cape Fear Shoals habitat.
For those looking for an extra thrill, there are two sets of haunted gardens. One is for the very brave. The other is for the more cautious.
Local merchants will give out treats and coupons at their booths.
This is the 11th year for the event. This year it will run on Wednesday, Oct. 24 and Thursday, Oct. 25 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Tickets go on sale starting October 1. They are $8.
