New Hanover, Bladen counties top AAA lists for accidents | News

NEW HANOVER and BLADEN COUNTIES, NC (WECT) - AAA Carolinas has released new traffic data on traffic crashes for the state, based on data from 2011.

Once again, New Hanover County is in the top five most dangerous counties for car accidents. New Hanover also checked in as the second most likely county to be involved in a traffic accident, as well as the second most likely county that folks are likely to be injured in a car accident.

Bladen County had the highest rate of drivers being injured in accidents involving tractor trailers.

Overall, North Carolina saw an eight percent decrease in traffic accidents from 2010 through 2011.
