CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WECT) – Officers with the Carolina Beach Police Department are looking for two men they believe were involved in an assault earlier this month.

According to police, Roderick Brooks Savage and a friend were walking home September 3 around 1:30 a.m. and stopped by McDonald's to get some food.

Because McDonald will not serve customers who walk through the drive-thru, Savage and his friend asked three men who were in a vehicle to drive them through the line. Savage offered to buy the men food for their help.

According to Detective Derek B. Moore, the men agreed, but when Savage's friends walked away from the vehicle, two of the men began to assault Savage.

Moore said the men pictured are wanted for questioning in this incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact Moore at the Carolina Beach Police Department at 910-458-1246.

Savage is offering a $5,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case.
