Carolina Beach leases space for Public Works department | News

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WECT) - The town of Carolina Beach has leased space in the Federal Point Shopping Center to store items they remove from Sunny Point.

The town has until December 31, 2012 to vacate the space they lease from the Army Corps at Sunny Point. They have looked at many properties for storage space.

"There's enough space at the shopping center to house the Public Works department," said Tim Owens, town manager. "Everything should be back to normal pretty soon."

They will move everything except for the dumpsters.

"We have until March 31, 2013 to move the dumpsters, but we have requested to leave some items behind," said Owens.
