CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WECT) – Carolina Beach has found a solution to where to house the town’s Operations Department.
The town had kept heavy equipment, storage buildings and vehicles on a plot of land off of Dow Road, but that land belongs to the US Army.
The Army told the town this spring their equipment had to be moved by the end of the year.
Now, town council has voted to lease space at the Federal Point shopping center, including parking for 30 town vehicle sand 8,000 square feet of indoor space to house dry goods like generators and paint.
The town hopes to begin moving in this week.
